John Alsop - Chairman
John Alsop has more than 3 decades of software industry experience, and has founded or cofounded several companies including iPass, Borderware Technologies, and Sea Change Corporation. With broad experience in the management of software businesses, and extensive contacts in the technology and investment worlds, John brings a wealth of experience to the UM Labs team. John is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, and is located in Toronto, Canada.
Peter Cox - CEO
Peter Cox has more than 30 years of IT industry experience, and has worked exclusively in the area of internet security since 1994. Peter was a co-founder of Borderware Technologies, where he helped develop and bring to market one of the first commercially successful firewall products. While at Borderware, Peter focused on application specific security gateways including Email, IM and VoIP products. Peter is the author of the SIPtap VOIP eavesdropping demonstration tool, and is a frequent speaker on the subject of VOIP security.
Mike Wilson - Vice President, North American Sales & Marketing
An industry veteran of 25 years, Mike brings sales and marketing leadership experience from software companies such as Crowntek and Computer Associates, consulting organizations including Ernst & Young and IMRglobal, and IT start-ups like Visual Systems Development Group and ProfitPoint Inc. Mike's experience and understanding of successful sales and partnering with IT service organizations assists UM Labs accelerate its revenue growth and expansion in the North American marketplace. Mike is also an active angel investor and serves as an advisor for a number of emerging, private technology companies. He is a graduate of Queens University in Kingston and the University of Guelph
